Needless to say the importance of the fashion world holds on the cultural, social and economic landscape.
Since the first man covered his naked body to escape the cold, every garment, every desing or fashion editorial has a mark on the feelingof the observer. What are you wearing, how and why, represents who you are and who you will want to be.
In that way, the designer Sonia Rykiel has learned to respect the sensitivity and dignity of his followers and thus, in France, the mostelegant country, she received the national award of merit from the hands of its president, François Hollande.
And that is, before Rykiel, Sonia Fils ran the Paris of the ’30s and worked as a clerk until she married, she became pregnant and when se couldn’t find a sweater for her, she made it herself beginning a bright career with her legendary Poorboy Sweater.
She was the first designer in using zip jewel, discovered seams, publishing fashion books and being the most elegant woman in the ’80s.
Always related with art, she won the arts awards of France and showed her designs as works of art in the Louvre. Rykiel also is first-person fighting against Parkinson’s disease, with the title «pas que je joue N’oubliez«.
For all this, congratulation Sonia, you are a super woman and a great professional.
